The Teleri sailor Nole has a lot on his mind. The sudden departure of the Dragon Dometis bothered him a little. But he is more concerned about his king, Olwe. His behaviour about admitting the dragon in the first place seemed odd to Nole. To keep his mind from dwelling on his concern too much, he went down to his old stall in the empty marketplace.
The stall is still here, but it shows signs of disuse. He remembers selling his wares, mostly foreign goods from abroad. His specialty was in beverages. Malt Beer, wine, even hard alcoholic drinks. But there were also an assortment of jewelry and gemstones. His friend Felsa specialised in the value of gemstones that Nole acquired in foreign lands, being a learned geologist in his own right. He missed him dearly. He is among the missing, at least that is what Nole assumes.
Missing. And now Apakenwe is missing. Nole told his concerns to his dear king, but Olwe seemed to dismiss it. He sees her brother Estelin around, but Apakenwe, she has been gone for some time. "I said we ought to send a search party" Nole says aloud. He remembers Olwe saying that they should not search for her. "Why not search?" Questioning his king is certainly not his nature, and he shakes his head. Clenching his fist in frustration, Nole sweeps some of the leaves from within the stall. He does not know why he bothers cleaning his market. Perhaps there is some part within him that clings on to hope that one day the market will be full again.
